Touzan’s hometown landscape 1
Touzan produced works of sumi-e, Japanese painting, Western painting and Japanese calligraphy since he was young.
And to get professional knowledge, he studied painting material and goods, such as oil color and watercolor paint, paper, sumi(India ink), ink stone and brush.
From his effort and experience, he clearly recognized the direction he should take.
It was figurative painting based on aesthetic senses of Japanese. He selected sumi-e as a way of his expression method and decided to create new type of sumi-e that is different from conventional one.
